Biography
Matt Vilardo’s professional experience makes him a unique and well-rounded real estate professional. His background in economics, mortgages, contract negotiations and construction/rehabilitation allows him to provide solid representation of buyers and sellers of all property types. He works as effectively with first-time buyers and sellers as experienced real estate clients.
Matt has been involved in various aspects of real estate since the mid-1980s. While working on Wall Street for Standard & Poor’s and Fitch, he gained valuable experience in the secondary mortgage market by analyzing and rating mortgage-backed securities. He has expertise in real estate financing and the loan application process. As a Pricing Manager with a multi-national shipping conglomerate, Matt learned the intricacies of contract negotiations and determined pricing strategies through the application of economic modeling. In 1989, Matt co-founded an HVAC subcontracting company in New York City, where he still holds a steamfitter’s license.
Matt lives in the Washington, DC area. As a realtor, he serves a broad range of clients in Washington, DC.
